Personnel from the Seribu Islands Water Resources Agency (SDA) are dredging water channels and control basins in RW 01, 02, and 03, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands Sub-district.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Water Resources (SDA) Coordinator, Mahiar said, this dredging is a routine weekly agenda to anticipate flooding, especially during heavy rainfall.
"This has been done from August 13 to 18 and has successfully removed 50 sacks of sediment, mud, and debris," he expressed, Tuesday (8/19).

"We want the capacity and function of the channel to be optimal again," he explained.
Hopefully, there would be no more floods during heavy rains, and the water could flow smoothly into the sea.
"I also ask residents to keep the channels and control basins clean by not littering," he stressed.
