8,658 People in North Jakarta Receive Social Assistance

As many as 8,658 people have received social assistance (Bansos) through the Jakarta Children's Card (KAJ), Jakarta Elderly Card (KLJ), and Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) from August 19 to 21, 2025.

North Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Rizqon Hermawan said, the Social Assistance for Basic Needs (PKD) was distributed in turns at each neighborhood.
This assistance is a tangible proof and a commitment from the Jakarta Government to improve the welfare of its residents.
Social Aid in South Jakarta Disbursed"For three days, we at Bank Jakarta have been distributing social assistance for the elderly, young children, and people with disabilities," he expressed, Friday (8/22).
He explained, the recipients had gone through the proposal process from the community leaders and are included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), which has been combined with data from Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency and Jakarta Revenue Agency (Bapenda) to ensure accuracy.
"In North Jakarta, 5,279 people received social assistance from KLJ, 2,638 received KAJ and 741 received KPDJ," he explained.
This assistance is given in cash, which can be withdrawn through Bank Jakarta ATMs, amounting to Rp 300,000 per month.
"To all recipients, make the best use of this assistance, such as purchasing food or clothing needs," he asserted.
One of the new beneficiaries of KLJ, a resident of RW 01, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Sena (61), felt happy and grateful to the Jakarta Government for continuously providing attention and welfare to its residents.
"I will use this assistance to meet my daily food needs. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), I feel lucky and proud to be a Jakarta resident. Hopefully, this aid will continue," he admitted.
