South Jakarta Food Security, Marine and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency held free anti-rabies vaccination at Agro Edukasi Wisata (AEW) Ragunan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. The vaccines were given to 22 pets.

Pasar Minggu KPKP Unit Head, Ida, said this vaccination is run to provide protection to pets and their owners from rabies virus infection, as well as to prevent the transmission of this fatal disease from animals to humans.
"The activity was held to maintain Jakarta as free rabies city since 2004," she said, Monday (8/25).
Vaccination and Sterilization Given to 131 Pets on Tidung IslandIda explained that the vaccines were given to 20 cats and two dogs.
Ida added that similar activity is about to hold on August 27 at RW 11 Hall, Ragunan Urban Village and August 28 at Kompleks Polri Soccer Field.
"I invite Jakarta residents who have pets such as cats, dogs, ferrets and monkeys to take them to the free rabies vaccination location," she invited.
Meanwhile, one of pet owners admitted happy with the program.
"Thanks for providing this program. Hopefully my cat will be healthier," she hoped.
