Rano added that various mitigation efforts have been run by the Jakarta Provincial Government such as preparing all pump infrastructure, both stationary pumps and mobile pumps, to ensure they remain in good condition and ready for use.

There are also fulfilling infrastructure needs in an ideal and sustainable manner to ensure Jakarta is prepared for extreme rainfall conditions. Furthermore, mitigation embankments are being built as a short-term response to tidal flooding in Muara Angke and Pluit.

"We also try to accelerate Ciliwung River normalization," he added.

Responding to suggestions and input regarding waste management, Rano emphasized that the executive has made a number of efforts, such as increasing the efficiency of waste sorting and processing.

Then, the construction of the Rorotan RDF facility is expected to reduce waste accumulation by up to 30 percent, with service coverage covering domestic waste processing from 16 districts in North Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta.

Rano explained that this facility is also designed to process waste into fuel for the cement industry to reduce the waste load at the Bantar Gebang Final Waste Disposal Site.

"We also encourage the expansion of RW waste banks through mentoring activities with one mentor per district," he stated.
