"Our initial target was 100 pets. We also collaborate with Let's Adopt Indonesia community," she said, Thursday (9/11).

Nurliati explained that cat sterilization is crucial for maintaining their population. Meanwhile, vaccinations are aimed at ensuring the health of both animals and humans, ensuring Jakarta's continued Rabies-Free status.

"We deployed eight doctors and assistants for this activity. The sterilization process implemented a Trap-Neuter-Return system," she explained.

According to her, more than 600 animals had been successfully sterilized and vaccinated from January to September 2025. The initial target was 900 animals.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Ahmad (37) appreciated the program since it handles the cats population and protect them from rabies.

"Cats being healthier and more well-groomed, then the environment is also more comfortable and safe from rabies," he stated.
