Pramono Anung saat meninjau Ladang Farm di Lebak Bulus

Pramono Wants to Develop Modern Agriculture in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung reviewed the Ladang Farm, an innovative vertical farming field in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, Thursday (9/18).

This is a creative and innovative farming land

The review was part of Jakarta Provincial Government in supporting and developing modern farming in Jakarta.

"I saw it on Youtube. This is a creative and innovative farming land," he said.

According to him, Ladang Farm is interesting and innovative because of its success in producing up to two tons of hydroponic vegetables per month. Furthermore, the farm also provides employment opportunities and empowers the local community, especially women, in the seedling planting process.

"They can also employ local residents, especially women whose job is to put the seeds into the sponges, then water the sponges, and carry out the entire process," he added.

Pramono appreciated and praised Ladang Farm's creativity and innovation in providing vegetable supplies to business owners in Jakarta and creating jobs.

Pramono also highlighted several challenges facing the development of Ladang Farm, one of which is the high demand for electricity. Therefore, he asked his staff to immediately examine the possibility of installing solar panels or solar cells at Ladang Farm.

Ladang Farm boasts 33,000 hydroponic units, each up to 18 meters tall. Pramono assessed this innovative vertical land use could be an alternative for modern agriculture in Jakarta. He hopes Ladang Farm can become a model for the development of modern agriculture in the city.

He emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government will provide full support, including promotional assistance to increase public awareness of Ladang Farm's products. Pramono noted the significant market potential, given that Jakarta's current vegetable demand reaches nine tons per week.

"Jakarta Provincial Government will provide full support for this," he emphasized.
