40 Seribu Islands Residents Attend Agricultural Product Diversification Training

The Seribu Islands Food Security, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency held a training on diversification of processing agricultural product at the Sekaya Maritim Building on Kelapa Dua Island, Kelapa Island Urban Village, Seribu Utara Islands District. About 40 participants attended the training.

Head of the Sub-agency, Nurliati said this training was a routine agenda by using city budget allocation.
According to her, this training aims to improve the knowledge and skills of participants in processing agricultural products in their area.

She explained the participants came from Harapan Island and Kelapa Island Urban Villages.
"Previously, we also held similar activity on Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, Tidung Island, and Pramuka Island," she explained.
Head Section of Food Security of the Sub-agency, Parsan stated This training was realized through a collaboration with PT DND Inovate Kreasitama, which operates in the food processing industry. The processed agricultural products were bananas and chilies.
"We also invite professional chefs. Participants will learn how to make chili sauce. They'll also learn how to make honey fried bananas and a fit bar made from Kepok bananas," he stated.
Meanwhile, one of the participants, Marta (42) admitted happy to attend this free training since she got knowledge and healthy menus for her business.
"This training is important for my home-based business. Thankfully the instructor explained to us in detail. Now I know how to process bananas," she admitted.
