Jakarta Men's Basketball Team Reaches the Finals at POMNas XIX

The Jakarta men's basketball team successfully advanced to the final after defeating East Java at the National Student Sports Week XIX (POMNas) held at the Professor Susilo Wibowo Basketball Arena, Diponegoro University, Semarang, Central Java.

The team led by Daniel William Tunasey managed to win convincingly with a final score of 66-48. In the finals on Friday (9/26), the Jakarta Boys' Basketball team will face the host, Central Java.

Jakarta Student Sports Development Agency (Bapomi) Vice Chair, Herinto, appreciated the Men's Basketball Team's victory in reaching the final.

"The game was very exciting, with some chasing of points. However, Jakarta was able to lead in the score until the final whistle was blown," he expressed, Friday (9/26).

He explained that with skilled, cohesive, and well-organized players, a sense of optimism naturally emerges to win the match in the final and secure the gold medal.

"Hopefully, with increasing gold medals in the final days of POMNas XIX, Jakarta can quickly secure the Overall Champion title," he explained.

He hoped that after POMNas XIX, the athletes would continue to develop their skills and physical fitness. Therefore, in the next POMNas or other national sporting events, they can perform optimally and bring honor to Jakarta.

"I want you to stay motivated, improve your training, and also participate in more competitions to gain experience as a foundation for the future," he closed.
