Jakarta athletes in the climbing sport branch succeeded in achieving a record that previously failed to win medals at the National Student Sports Week XVIII (POMNas) 2023.

This result shows improvement

At POMNas XIX in Central Java, they have so far won two bronze medals through Nurul Aisyah Ramadhani in the Women's Individual Boulder event and Alivany Ver Khadijah in the Women's Speed Individual event.

Jakarta's Climbing Manager, Rizal Fadlillah, said that Jakarta sent nine male and female athletes competing in four events.

"Insya Allah (thank God), we have already won two bronze medals. Considering previous achievements, this result shows improvement," he expressed, Friday (9/26).

With these results, the team would evaluate the athletes, coaches, technical staff, and all other elements to improve their performance in the next event.

He stated that there would also be athlete selection or re-training according to the abilities and characteristics of the event they will compete in.

"Hopefully, they will develop their abilities in the future. In addition to practicing, they will also gradually participate in various competitions," he hoped.
