Jakarta Star Shine at POMNas XIX, Win 71 Gold Medals

Jakarta is getting closer to winning the overall champion title at the National Student Sports Week XIX (POMNas) in Central Java from September 19 to 27, 2025.

I want you (athletes) to stay focused, fight, and win

As of Thursday (9/25), Jakarta athletes have secured 71 gold medals, 44 silver medals, and 45 bronze medals. Meanwhile, the host team Central Java is leading with 47 gold medals, 47 silver medals, and 36 bronze medals, followed by East Java with 34 gold medals, 39 silver medals, and 36 bronze medals.

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency Secretary, Hendra Eka Permana said, despite there is a 24-medal gap with the second-place team, all athletes are urged to stay focused and enthusiastic in achieving their best performance.

"There are still 46 gold medals we are competing for on this final day. I want you (athletes) to stay focused, fight, and win," he expressed, Friday (9/26).

With only one day remaining in the competition, Jakarta is now preparing to close POMNas XIX with outstanding achievements as overall champions in every edition of POMNas.

"I believe the medals will continue to increase to emphasize that Jakarta remains powerful in national student sports events," he stressed.
