Readiness of Barito Traders' New Kiosks Reviewed

South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar ensured the readiness of new kiosks for relocated traders of Barito to see location namely Sentra Fauna in Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa District.

Hopefully it will be ready in two weeks

Anwar, together with Jakarta City Council Legislator, reviewed the relocation area which is targeted for completion in two weeks.

"Hopefully it will be ready in two weeks. After that, relocation socialization will be held," he said, Tuesday (9/30).

Anwar explained that he will continue promoting the new location to increase public awareness, including among animal lovers, communities, and other stakeholders. To ensure that vendors operate in accordance with regulations, he requested that relevant agencies conduct a vendor review based on valid data, such as authentic Jakarta ID cards.

"This is our pilot project in developing MSMEs," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta City Council's Commission D Chairwoman, Yuke Yurike said vendor curation must be carried out properly and transparently. Furthermore, supporting facilities at the new location must be fully completed, such as toilets, prayer rooms, and other facilities.

Yuke added that the relocation kiosks are expected to boost the local economy. She also requested that local residents be involved in various activities, particularly in work related to the new location.

"Hopefully everyone will feel comfortable here. The residents are very supportive and enthusiastic," she affirmed.
