Former Barito Traders' Relocation Set for Early October Completion

The Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared a timeline for the relocation of former Barito (Loksem Barito) traders to Jakarta Fauna and Culinary Center in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.

"The Jakarta Provincial Government will ensure a smooth and orderly relocation,”

The stages including outreach, re-registration, data validation, official announcement, and mobilization.

Head of Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that the relocation is scheduled to take place from September 24 to October 5, 2025.

Jakarta Fauna Center in Lenteng Agung Will Soon Be Operating

“We had face-to-face outreach sessions with the traders beforehand, further supported by media coverage,” Ratu said on Thursday (9/25).

She explained that traders are required to re-register to determine kiosk arrangements. Data validation will then be conducted to ensure accuracy and prevent overlapping placements.

An official announcement of the traders placed at the Jakarta Fauna and Culinary Center will be made before mobilization begins.

“Mobilization includes vacating the old kiosks at Barito and moving traders to their new locations in Lenteng Agung. Through this process, the Jakarta Provincial Government will ensure a smooth and orderly relocation,” she asserted.

Ratu added that the Jakarta Fauna and Culinary Center is expected to enhance MSME competitiveness and offer a fresh experience for the public.

“With better facilities, business owners can grow, while residents gain a new culinary destination integrated with a comfortable public space,” she expressed.
