Taxi Boat, Alternative Transportation in Seribu Islands

The lack of ships owned by Jakarta Transportation Department, making many citizens and tourists prefer to use taxi boat or locally known as "kapal ojek" to serve them going to Seribu Islands. 

Taxi boat is very useful for citizens and visitors who want to visit Kelapa Island. Besides, since last month, Kerapu boat is also already operated with route Kelapa Island

Even though having to jostle, they claimed to be grateful for using taxi boat service, as the pegged fare is quite cheap. Nevertheless, in future, it is expected taxi boat would be equipped with adequate equipment of safety crossing. 

"Taxi boat is very useful for citizens and visitors who want to visit Kelapa Island. Besides, since last month, Kerapu boat is also already operated with route Kelapa Island," explained Head of Kelapa Island Urban Village, Mohammad Yani, Tuesday (7/7).

However, Yani still hopes the transportation department to operate the ships immediately. Its operational is predicted could raise tourist visit to Seribu Islands.
