In the 2025 Indonesian Digital Society Index (IMDI) report released by the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), Jakarta achieved the highest national score with 56.97. Second place is Bangka Belitung (52.15) and third is West Java (52.05).
This award was presented directly by the Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutia Hafid, at the 2025 IMDI Award event held at Ganara Art Space, FX Sudirman, Jakarta, Thursday (10/2).

As for information, IMDI 2025 measures the level of development of digital society through four main pillars namely Infrastructure and Ecosystem, Digital Skills, Empowerment, and Employment.
The survey was conducted in July-August 2025, involving more than 18,000 individual respondents and 11,000 industry respondents. It also integrated the Digital Literacy Index (DLI) indicators to obtain a comprehensive picture of the development of Indonesia's digital society.
