Jakarta City Council Vice Chairwoman, Rani Mauliani appreciates the steps taken by the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) to accelerate the issuance of the Sanitation Hygiene Certificate (SLHS) for around 180 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) within the next two weeks.
I appreciate that step because the MBG program is an investment
According to her, this step is important to ensure that hygiene and food safety standards are strictly met in the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program initiated by the central government.
"I appreciate that step because the MBG program is an investment in the nutritional fulfillment of future generations," she expressed, Tuesday (10/7).
Health Agency Speeds Up Hygiene Certification for SPPGsShe also supports the training provided to 8,000 food handlers and providers of MBG, which is conducted alongside the acceleration of hygiene certification for food service kitchens.
"This step should have been part of the main requirements when the kitchen was set up, as hygiene aspects must be the most important factor in food presentation," she explained.
He went on to say that the MBG program evaluation needs to be conducted to improve existing shortcomings, instead of stoping a program that has great benefits for the next generation of the nation.
"Moreover, since this program aims to provide healthy food, cleanliness becomes its fundamental foundation," she said.
