development in Jakarta continues to run
This effort was prepared to face the decline in the Jakarta Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) due to the impact of cuts in Revenue Sharing Funds (DBH) from the central government.
Baco assessed that this step is important so that development programs in the capital city continue to run according to plan, even with fiscal limitations.
Commission B Wants Central Government to Support Transportation Subsidies"It seems impossible to operate with a regional budget of only Rp 79 trillion. Economic growth in Jakarta could decline and the economy's circulation in Jakarta would be disrupted," he said, Thursday (10/9).
Baco added that the Jakarta Provincial Government will explore collaboration with the private sector and various other strategic partners to cover the funding shortfall resulting from DBH cuts.
"The provincial government is currently trying to implement the city budget with a composition approaching Rp 95 trillion through collaboration with other parties, so that development in Jakarta continues to run," he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of City Council's Commission A, Alia Noorayu Laksono stated transfer funds from the central government are expected to encourage job creation programs in Jakarta.
"One of the fastest job placements from the provincial government is through the opening of PPSU positions. It is also an effort to reduce unemployment in Jakarta," she stated.
Alia also expressed her support for the policy of not cutting the salaries of state civil servants within the Jakarta Provincial Government, as a form of appreciation for their performance.
"So they should be given attention. DBH can still be allocated to support priority development programs in Jakarta," she emphasized.
