Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency is about to complete water channel renovation on Jalan Gelinggang C3 RT 11/04, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, this month.

Head of Tanah Abang District's Water Resource Unit, Eli Menawan Sari said the renovation along 125 meters has been running since last week. Now the progress reaches 25 percent.
"The progress has reached 25 percent and is targeted for completion at the end of October," she said, Thursday (10/9).
Renovation is run because the channel made of PVC pipe was damaged, so it was no longer able to accommodate the water during rain.
"We install new u-ditches by 60x60 cm of size," she added.
Meanwhile, Head of Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, Rida Mufrida, appreciated the sub-agency's response in renovating the water channel.
"We submitted proposal to follow up residents' request for renovating the channel," she admitted.
