Jakarta Occupational Health and Safety Center Registered as Environmental Laboratory

The Jakarta Center for Company Hygiene, Occupational Safety, and Health (Hiperkes and KK) has been officially registered as an environmental laboratory based on a Decree from the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK), with Registration Number 011/LPJ/LABLING-B/LRK/KLH.

"...strengthens contributions to environmental quality testing,"

This registration proves that the laboratory meets the national standard SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as a testing laboratory capable of conducting competent and accurate environmental testing activities, enhancing service capacity and contributing to increased regional revenue for the Jakarta Provincial Government.

Jakarta Hiperkes and KK Center Head, Heny D. Mayawati, said that the registered testing laboratory provides significant benefits in terms of legality (compliance with LHK Ministerial Regulation No. 23/2020 on Environmental Laboratory), credibility, and quality of test results.

“Besides, this registration improves cooperation opportunities, broadens competitiveness and business prospects, and strengthens contributions to environmental quality testing that impact sustainable environmental management strategies,” she mentioned on Thursday (10/16).

Heny added that companies using Hiperkes and KK services can access both occupational environmental testing and environmental quality testing services.

With the registration of the Hiperkes and KK laboratory, it now holds legal assurance and guarantees the accuracy of its test results.

This also reflects compliance with Government Regulation No. 22/2021 on the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, while enhancing the company's reputation and operational efficiency in environmental reporting.

She explained that test data from laboratories registered with Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) are considered legally valid and can be officially submitted to environmental agencies such as Jakarta Environment Agency (DLH), KLHK, or through PROPER program.

"On the other hand, quarterly environmental monitoring reports will be rejected or deemed invalid if they rely on test results from unregistered laboratories," she noted.

Therefore, this registration marks a significant step for Jakarta Hiperkes and KK Center in strengthening its role and responsibility in environmental quality testing.

"Through credible, accurate, and nationally standardized testing, this laboratory is expected to support sustainable development and become a strategic partner for businesses in Jakarta and surrounding areas," she stated.
