26 Fire Cases Recorded in S. Jakarta During Ramadhan

The fire case tends to increase in South Jakarta during Ramadhan. Based on the data, as many as 26 cases in South Jakarta happened during June 18 to July 7, 2015.

“Around 26 cases happened during Ramadhan,” said Operational Head of South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-department, Edy Sucipto, Wednesday (7/8).

Sucipto added that the tendency of fire case is increasing compared than last year. “Last 2014, there were 21 cases during June 29 to July 27. Indeed it increases in the same period,” he added.

The loss caused of fire during Ramadhan reached billion, include property things burned. “The loss from June 18 to July 7 is predicted Rp 9,309,500,000 while in the same period in last year amounted Rp 4,599,000,000,” he explained.

Separately, mostly of fire caused by electrical installation. “Therefore residents need to know how to anticipate it,” he uttered.
