Mayor of Central Jakarta, Mangara Pardede urged residents to be aware of fire threat during Ramadhan and Idul Fitri 1436 Hijri. It is considered as household activities more intensively during Ramadhan, including the busyness of mothers in preparing and eating a meal breaking the fast menu locally known as sahur.

Pardede also urged residents to check the electrical connections because the average fire triggered by electrical short-circuit.

“For the residents who want to go to hometown, you have to report it to the RT, RW, or neighbor to create security and safe condition,” he uttered.
On that occasion, Central Jakarta Administration also gave compensation to 10 orphans and 10 elderly people in Duri Pulo Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
