Residents Flock to Posyandu and Posbindu at RPTRA Kecapi 72

As many as 240 residents flocked to Soka Merah Integrated Health Service (Posyandu) and Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) held at RPTRA Kecapi 72, Meruya Utara Urban Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.

Hopefully the health of mothers, children and families here will continue to improve

Soka Merah Posyandu Caretaker, Kiki Dharmasari admitted her side provided various basic health services. Then, education about the importance of maintaining family health, as well as the very important role of midwives in ensuring the continuity of public health services.

"The midwives at the Soka Merah Posyandu serve as community facilitators and mobilizers, health service providers, and counselors, as well as evaluating and monitoring activities. We also provide support and referrals to ensure optimal Posyandu services," she admitted, Wednesday (10/22).

Kiki explained posyandu activities also monitor the growth and development of 150 toddlers through weighing, nutritional checks, immunizations, counseling, environmental health services, and Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS).

"Community participation is our challenge. Many understand the importance of health, but due to busy work schedules, not everyone can regularly attend to posyandu," she explained.

Today's activities also included a Posbindu service for 90 mothers of toddlers. The mothers received basic health checks such as blood pressure checks, waist circumference checks, and blood sugar levels, as well as nutrition and healthy lifestyle counseling.

"Hopefully the health of mothers, children and families here will continue to improve, " she hoped.

Meanwhile, one of local residents, Neneng (29) said she routinely attends Posyandu activity since her child was one year old until now he is three years old.

"So I can know my child's development. The service is very good," she stated.
