Curb Stones Installed in the Median of Kali Duri Inspection Road for Mutual Comfort

The Penjaringan Sub-district Bina Marga Implementation Unit in North Jakarta is installing kanstin curb stones on Kali Duri Inspection Road, Pejagalan Urban Village. It aims to improve the safety and comfort of road users.

It will save drivers from accidents

Penjaringan Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit Head, Arief Hartoko said that previously, the road was yellow as a marker to distinguish the difference in elevation between the high and low lanes.

"A few days ago, we painted it and continued by installing kanstin curbs to provide a clear boundary for road users, especially drivers," he expressed, Monday (10/27).

He explained, the curb was installed along 320 meters on the right side of the road. This work involved 17 personnel from the sub-district and the sub-agency level.

At the location, a sign reading "Caution: Bumpy Road" had also been installed as initial information for drivers.

"By doing so, it will save drivers from accidents," he explained.

He added, the progress of this work is still at 40 percent or only 128 meters due to unfavorable weather conditions. It is planned to continue today and tomorrow.

"Hopefully, this work can be completed as soon as possible," he hoped.

He urged the locals not to damage the roads and kanatin curbs to ensure the roads remain durable, safe, and comfortable.

"Let's take care of this repaired infrastructure so that it remains durable and in good condition," he added.

This work received appreciation from a local resident, Sugiharto (58). Previously, at night and in bad weather, accidents or cars getting stuck often occurred due to the bumpy roads.

"We're very grateful that there has been follow-up with the installation of kanstin curbs; previously, a barrier was also painted. Hopefully, residents and drivers passing by will feel safer and more comfortable," he stated.
