Floods in South Jakarta Has Completely Receded

The South Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reports that the flood affecting 35 RTs this morning has completely subsided.

Since last night, traffic on that road has been smooth

South Jakarta BPBD Platoon Commander, Muhammad Nur said, the flooding in those 35 RTs occurred due to heavy rain with a relatively long duration.

"Ciliwung River, Mampang River, Krukut River, and Uangan River overflowed into the residential areas and streets," he expressed, Thursday (10/30).

Of 35 RTs flooded, there were only three areas where the water level is higher than 30 centimeters. The respective locations are the Police Complex, Pela Mampang Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan, with a height of 70 centimeters.

Then, Jalan Tegal Parah Selatan in Tegal Parang Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district reached 60 centimeters, and on Jalan Poncol II in Gandaria Selatan Urban Village, Cilandak Sub-district, with a flood height of 40 centimeters.

"Flood has started to gradually recede at 2 AM and this morning it was declared dry," he explained.

Besides the flood, during yesterday's rain, a five-meter-high Angsana tree with a diameter of 15 centimeters also fell on Jalan Bangka VII, Bangka Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district.

"The related party has already handled this tree. Since last night, traffic on that road has been smooth," he stated.
