POPNAS and PEPARPENAS Participants Receive Free Transportation and Tourism Facilities

As we know, the National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) XVII and the National Student Paralympic Week (PEPARPENAS) XI have been taking place in Jakarta from November 1 to 10, 2025.

They are free to visit some of the tourist attractions in Jakarta

This is Indonesia's largest student sports event, recording a significant increase in the number of participants. With 8,900 athletes and officials registered, this year's POPNAS has become the largest in the history of the event.

The Jakarta government, as the host, has prepared various best service facilities for all contingents. All athletes and officials receive free transportation services by simply showing their participant identification card.

This free service includes Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta, provided to support participants' mobility to the match venue.

Besides free public transportation, participants can also enjoy various top tourist destinations in Jakarta without any entrance fee. Some of the locations that can be visited include Ragunan Zoo, Monas, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), and Ancol. Specifically for Ancol, participants also receive a 50 percent discount on entry to the amusement rides.

Even, Jakarta Governor, Promono Anung, is committed to achieving three successes: successful organization, successful implementation, successful administration, and successful achievement.

He invited all athletes and officials to enjoy the Jakarta panorama from the top of Monas for free as a form of respect for the regional guests visiting the capital.

"They are free to visit some of the tourist attractions in Jakarta, including going to the top of Monas. On this occasion, I as the Governor invite you to see Jakarta from the top of Monas for free. Arrangements will be made later," he explained, Monday (11/3).

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Head, Andri Yansyah said, all of these facilities are prepared to provide the best comfort for the participants.

Besides competing, they also had the opportunity to get to know Jakarta better through recreational activities that had been facilitated.

"With full support, we are optimistic that we can be a successful host and leave the best impression for all contingents from all provinces in Indonesia," he asserted.
