Jakarta Cycling Wins Four Medals at POPNAS 2025

The Jakarta Women's 4,000-meter Pursuit Team won a gold medal in the cycling event at the 17th National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) 2025 at the Jakarta International Velodrome (JIV), Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

Jakarta Boys' Sepak Takraw Team Secures Second Win at POPNAS XVII

The Jakarta cyclist quartet of Aligya Keiko Hendranata, Arnetta Cita Harianto, Banyu Bening Nuraini, and Fahda Aaqilatul Fikriyah secured gold after outperforming the Central Java Province POPNAS team in the final race on Monday (11/3). They clocked a time of 5:12.899 seconds, compared to their opponents' time of 5:14.153 seconds.

The Manager of Jakarta Cycling Sports Branch at the XVII POPNAS, Julio Yusuf, appreciated the struggle of the Jakarta cycling athletes who had shown dedication and commitment in the competition.

He hopes that winning medals today will further motivate other athletes to achieve more.

"We won one gold, two silver, and one bronze today. We still have several potential medals in the future, hopefully," he hoped.

Julio explained that the first silver medal was presented in the Men's 4,000 meter Pursuit event by athletes Evan Hadrian Kholik, Fauzan Azima Karsa Saputra, Muhammad Adji Pamungkas and Muhammad Rifki Syahidin Abdullah.

Fahda Aaqilatul Fikriyah then won the second silver medal in the women's 250-meter individual event.

Fadhil Abyoso Virdianto won the bronze medal in the men's 250-meter individual event.
