806 Physical Assistive Devices Distributed to Beneficiaries in W. Jakarta

West Jakarta Social Sub-agency has distributed 807 physical assistive devices to eligible residents from March 17 to November 4, 2025.

West Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Suprapto, stated that the distribution will continue until the end of this year.

Suprapto detailed the assistive devices already distributed: 460 adult wheelchairs, 36 children's wheelchairs, 259 hearing aids, 21 tripod canes, 21 walkers, and 10 prosthetic legs.
"We encourage persons with disabilities or their families in West Jakarta to apply for assistive devices through their local RT/RW administrators," he mentioned.
He added that the recommendation letter from RT/RW will be forwarded to urban village office. The village office will then issue a PM1 referral letter to the West Jakarta Social Sub-agency.
"After that, we will assign sub-district unit head to visit the applicant," he explained.
He hopes the distributed assistance will provide real benefits for those in need, especially persons with disabilities from underprivileged families.
"Hopefully, this support can help them carry out their daily activities more comfortably," he said.
