carried out in stages

Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo explained traffic arrangements are implemented to support the smooth running of the project while maintaining the security and safety of road users around the work site.

Water Channel on Jalan Rawa Binong Being Improved

He added that this project covers several work areas, namely Jalan Margaguna Raya–Jalan H. Nawi Raya, Jalan RS Fatmawati, and Jalan Madrasah. Traffic engineering will be implemented in stages according to work progress. Meanwhile, channel jacking work is being carried out at several points or pits in the Jalan Margaguna Raya area.

Pit 10 is located on the south side of Jalan Margaguna, near the Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) 1 parking area. During the construction, the road will be converted from two lanes to one lane. Construction will begin November 17, 2025, and will last until March 23, 2026.

Pit 11 is located on the south side of Jalan Margaguna, directly in front of the gas station. The road will also be narrowed to one lane during the work. Construction is scheduled to begin November 6, 2025, and will last until March 23, 2026.

Pit 12 is located on the south side of Jalan Margaguna, in front of the Ministry of Social Affairs' Social Welfare Education and Training Center. The previously two-lane road will be converted into a single lane, with road widening optimized to ensure smooth traffic flow. Work is scheduled for November 6, 2025, to April 19, 2026.

On the other hand, for Pit 1 to Pit 9, the implementation schedule and work details will still be updated.

In addition to the jacking channel, the agency also regulates traffic to support the construction of a 1,200 mm Box Culvert on Jalan RS Fatmawati.

The work will be carried out in stages from November 1 to December 15, 2025, on the east and west sides of Jalan RS Fatmawati, from after Jalan Mangga to Jalan Madrasah.

"The activity is carried out in the existing pedestrian area, but part of the work fence will take up the road surface, resulting in a narrowing of the lane," he added.

He continued that the work on channel crossing on Jalan RS Fatmawati will only be carried out during the window time of 10 PM to 4 AM, to avoid disrupting traffic during rush hour. In the morning, the work area will be closed with iron plates and will still be passable by vehicles.

Meanwhile, the installation of u-ditches will be carried out in stages on Jalan Madrasah with the same period, namely November 1 to December 15, 2025.

"The 1500 mm box culvert work will also be carried out in the next stage, with the implementation schedule to be announced later," he continued.

The road will be narrowed at several points. Road users are asked to avoid affected areas and follow applicable traffic regulations.
