Demolishment Towards Illegal Buildings Targeted to Be Complete by End of 2015

As many as 247 illegal buildings that spread in North Jakarta are scheduled to be demolished simultaneously. It is targeted will be complete by the end of 2015. 

Post-Eid ul-Fitr, it is conducted simultaneously a day in six sub-districts. This year, we have budget more than Rp 2 billion for 200 illegal buildings

According to Monggur Siahaan, Head of North Jakarta Spatial Planning Sub-Department, Monggur Siahaan stated the demolishment will be started after Eid ul-Fitr. So far, his party has saved the budget for taking the action.

"Post-Eid ul-Fitr, it is conducted simultaneously a day in six sub-districts. This year, we have budget more than Rp 2 billion for 200 illegal buildings," he told, Thursday (7/9).

His party promises, at the end of this year, those 200 buildings will already be demolished using precedes budget. 

"We will demolish 200 illegal buildings until December 2015. In 2016, we would receive precedes budget and use it thus our plan can be done without waiting for City Budget (APBD)," he asserted. 

Nevertheless, his party hoped, citizens could obey the building permit in order to avoid demolishment. "If not, we will keep doing such thing, even though they build building while playing kucing-kucingan (cat-and-mouse) with field officer," he finished.
