Protest, Buildings Demolishment in Rawajati Delayed

Since there is a protest from local residents of Jalan Rajawati Barat, RT 9/4, Pancoran, South Jakarta, forcing the joint officers of Satpol PP, Police, Army, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to delay the demolishment towards illegal buildings.

The locals showed their protest by putting a wood and a bamboo in the middle of the street. They also had a conflict with officers in the field, but it could be controlled well.

Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta, Tri Kumiadi asserted that his party and his subordinates to coordinate and re-schedule the demolishment. Hence, there will be no more tolerance.

“ I'll coordinate with my ranks. We remain to demolish the buildings ,” he asserted, Saturday (6/13).

At least around 42 houses and stalls were built on the public facilities owned by Jakarta Administration and PT KAI. They have been in exist over 20 years.
