16 HAKTPA Campaign: Efforts to Eliminate Gender and Child-Based Violence

The Jakarta Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control Agency (PPAPP), launched the Kick Off Campaign for the 16 Days of Jakarta Anti-Violence Against Women and Children (HAKTPA) 2025.

This campaign is held every year as a commitment 

This activity marks the beginning of an annual campaign series that takes place from November 25 to December 10, coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and International Human Rights Day.

This campaign kickoff was inaugurated with a talk show featuring speakers from various institutions, including Deputy Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Jakarta Women's and Children's Protection Center, Commissioner of National Commission on Women, Director of LBH APIK Jakarta, and Angkie Yudistia as an influencer.

The presence of these speakers enriches the public's perspective on issues of violence against women and children, as well as strengthening the protection system in Jakarta.

In collaboration with the National Commission on Violence Against Women, the kick-off day was also filled with a series of opening activities held at Plaza Selatan Monas and Balai Agung Great Hall, including exhibitions, music performances, healing spaces, stand-up comedy, sports, and talkshow sessions. This will also continue in Seribu Islands on November 27, 2025, as part of the campaign's outreach expansion.

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Iin Mutmainnah uttered, HAKTPA today is a global campaign to remind the world that violence against women is a serious human rights violation.

"This campaign is held every year as a commitment to promote concrete actions to eliminate gender-based violence, including violence against children," she expressed, Monday (11/124).

The next series will take the form of a public action, including the placement of Anti-Violence stickers against Women and Children by Jakarta Deputy Governor on Transjakarta transportation on November 26, 2025.

Then isthe campaign roadshow in four administrative city regions: East Jakarta on December 1, 2025, North Jakarta on December 2, South Jakarta on December 3, and West Jakarta on December 4, 2025.

"This agenda is an effort to expand the dissemination of campaign messages to all levels of society," she added.

The campaign peak will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, through the Jakarta Penuh Warna event.

This is also reinforced through the dissemination of communication, information, and education media in the form of infographics, video wall displays, and digital photo frame distributions (twibbons), so that the message of protecting women and children can reach the wider and more effective community.
