742 Bukit Duri Residents Receive Food Aid

As many as 742 residents of Bukit Duri Urban Village, Tebet District, South Jakarta received food aid.

Head of Bukit Duri Urban Village, Sumarni said food aid in the form of rice and cooking oil were distributed from the National Food Body.

"Previously, the residents have been registered. Then they must bring their ID card, family card, and invitation letter to get the aid," she said, Wednesday (11/26).

Sumarni hopes that the food aid in the form of 20 kilogram of rice and four liters of oil can help the community meet their daily basic needs.

"This assistance is also expected to improve welfare and of course reduce their economic burden," she hoped.

Meanwhile, Nimah Maula (55), a local resident, thanked the government for providing the assistance.

According to him, this assistance can ease the economic burden related to adequate daily food consumption.

"Thank God, I am very happy to receive this assistance because it is enough to meet my family's food consumption needs for the next few weeks," she admitted.
