Master's Degree Scholarship Program Continues to Be Developed

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Rano Karno revealed plans for an educational assistance program up to master's level (S-2) which will be implemented by the Jakarta Provincial Government in 2026.

According to Rano, this educational assistance, which is similar to the Indonesian Ministry of Finance's Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP) scholarship program, is targeted to accommodate 100 residents.

Rano explained that the Jakarta Provincial Government currently has an educational program for undergraduate students through the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU). Governor Pramono Anung plans to expand the program to postgraduate and tertiary levels.

"The realization of the program, which can be called LPDP Jakarta, will be adjusted to the availability of the Jakarta Regional Budget," said Rano, Wednesday (11/26).

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Education Agency, Nahdiana admitted that this scholarship program is being discussed deeply.

"Whether the campus will be overseas or domestic, and the majors involved, are still under discussion. The allocation is planned for 100 students, but this is still in process and depends on budget availability ," she explained.
