Green Belt on Jalan Yos Sudarso Now Looks Beautiful

The green belt arrangement along Jalan Yos Sudarso in Rawa Badak Utara Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, completed.

Hope it can revive the median under the toll bridge

North Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency's Green Belt and Cemetary Section Head, Habib Prabandoko said, this arrangement aimed to improve the quality of the urban environment and support greening programs in Jakarta.

"We optimize the median road function that previously only served as a traffic separator and now has become a green area that provides ecological, aesthetic, and comfort benefits for the community," he expressed, Monday (12/1).

Green Belt on Jalan Daan Mogot is Being Improved

He explained, this arrangement was done on a 3,500.68 square meter plot of land with a design of installing composite wood ornaments. It functions as a visual soft barrier that provides a sense of security without blocking the visual connectivity between pedestrians, vehicles, and the surrounding space.

"No specific concept. Besides being given a wooden boundary, we plant low ornamental plants with the aim of improving air quality, reducing road dust, and providing microhabitats," he explained.

He added it involved a third party and lasts for 148 days, from June 30 to November 24, 2025. However, it is currently still in the refinement and cleaning stage.

"The work has been completed but is still in the maintenance stage. Hope it can revive the median under the toll bridge. We'll regularly station personnel for watering," he added.

Of course, this work received appreciation from one of the residents from Semper Barat Urban Village, Hadi (38).

"Pleasant to look at and beautiful. Hopefully, this green belt can be maintained and cared for properly. Don't let any negligence occur," he admitted.
