Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) wondered with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) which prohibits the land purchase although Jakarta still lack of land used as Green Open Space (RTH).
Our land is limited, they are only looking for justification
Ahok uttered, currently, Jakarta only has RTH covering 8.5 percent of Jakarta total area. According to the existing regulations, Jakarta must provide at least 30 percent from total area.
"BPK said that Jakarta have got a lot of land so we are prohibited to buy the land again. They are wrong because in fact, we only have 8.5 percent of 30 percent RTH that must be built in Jakarta," told Basuki in City Hall, Friday (7/10).
Ahok: BPK Should Conduct Substantial AuditBesides building RTH, Ahok admitted that Jakarta also need land to build low-cost flat (rusunawa) which will be used as a place to relocate residents along riverbank.
"Our land is limited, they are only looking for justification," he explained.
As known, based on Examination Report (LHP) from BPK about Jakarta Financial report, Jakarta allegedly has additional funds for land purchase. In fact, the land purchase for Sumber Waras Hospital in Grogol West Jakarta is in conformity with the taxable value (NJOP).
BPK noted there was additional budget of Rp 191 billion for land that was purchased by the Jakarta Health Department last year to build a cancer hospital on par with Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).
