18 Sex Workers and Transvestites Netted

The ranks of Central Jakarta Satpol PP and Social Sub-Department managed to net 14 People with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) consisting of 14 sex workers and 4 transvestites. Those were netted in a PMKS raid in Tanah Abang and Taman Lawang areas, Saturday (7/11) dawn.

Officers then immediately brought them to the Bina Insan Bangun Daya 2 Cipayung Social Institution, East Jakarta, for guidance. 

"During raid, some sex workers were trying to trick officers, yet we have already known their modus," said Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Susana Budi Susilowati, Saturday (7/11).

According to her, the raid once again conducted as there are still complaint from local citizens who worry about the existence of sex workers and transvestites during Ramadhan. Her party claimed, will keep conducting raid in cross thus the operation does not leak.

"60 personnel were involved in the raid. They are consisting of Supervision and Social Controlling (P3S), Satpol PP, and Police officers. By intensifying the raid, we hope it could evict sex workers, especially in Central Jakarta," he closed.
