200 Transportation Personnel Deployed in East Jakarta on New Year's Eve

The East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency is about to deploy 200 personnel and 20 tow trucks to handle traffic congestion during New Year's eve.

We will also deploy 20 tow trucks

Head Section of Operation for the sub-agency, Emiral August Dwinanto, said those 200 personnel to be deployed to TMII, Rawamangun Velodrome, Pasar Rebo Flyover and so on.

"The personnel to be spread into nine integrated security posts in East Jakarta. They will join with other personnel namely army, police, Satpol PP and community," he said, Monday (12/29).

Emiral explained those posts are in TMII, Tamini Square, Panasonic Gobel Jalan Raya Bogor, PGC Cililitan, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Pulo Gebang Terminal, Haji Naman Pam Post, Cakung Tol Bridge, and Jatinegara Station.

"We will also deploy 20 tow trucks to help vehicles that have broken down and caused traffic jams," he explained.

Meanwhile, Chief of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Alfian Nurrizal, stated traffic flow diversion or engineering will be carried out situationally.

"Diversions and contra flow will be implemented If there is a very long traffic jam," he stated.
