77,267 Passengers Depart from Seven Terminals Across Jakarta

A total of 77,267 Jakarta residents departed from seven intercity and interprovince (AKAP) bus terminals between December 18 and 30, 2025.

"The peak occurred on December 24, with 10,249 passengers,"

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo said the seven terminals are Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, Kalideres Terminal, Tanjung Priok Terminal, Lebak Bulus Terminal, Angke Terminal, and Grogol Terminal.

"The peak occurred on December 24, with 10,249 passengers departing using 1,101 buses," he shared on Wednesday (12/31).

According to him, the number of passengers on December 24 increased by 218 percent compared to normal days.

Passenger numbers also increased at 11 ferry ports serving the Thousand Islands, Syafrin added.

During the 2025 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays period, 18,995 passengers were transported on 658 vessels, marking an increase of about 61.15 percent compared to the previous year.

He noted that on December 27, 2025, a total of 3,049 residents departed for the Thousand Islands, representing a 538.67 percent increase compared to the normal period.

"A total of 68 vessels departed for the Thousand Islands on December 28, 2025," he stated.
