1,075 Green Troops Deployed on New Year's Eve

The Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Agency has deployed 1,075 personnel, commonly known as green troops, for New Year's Eve.

"A total of 775 personnel will join PPSU and the Environment Agency task force,"

Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Agency Head Fajar Sauri said the personnel will be on standby to handle fallen trees and clean up trash.

"A total of 775 personnel will join PPSU and the Environment Agency task force to clean up waste after the New Year's Eve celebration," he stated on Wednesday (12/31).

As for tree handling, Fajar added that 300 personnel will be on standby across Jakarta's five municipalities.

"We've divided them into two shifts to anticipate fallen trees caused by extreme weather," he explained.
