Entrance Ticket Sellers Prohibited in Seribu Islands

Chief of Seribu Islands Resort Police Andi Herindra promised to crack down on those who are caught selling entrance tickets to some islands in Seribu Islands. 

The entrance ticket with destination to Seribu Islands is ilegal and the same with illegal levies

"The entrance ticket with destination to Seribu Islands is illegal and the same with illegal levies," exclaimed Herindra, Monday (7/13). 

According to him, in Eid ul-Fitr holiday, the number of tourists to go to Seribu Islands will increase significantly. Such condition is often used by some individuals to make profits. Including by selling entrance tickets for tourists by certain nominal.

Separately, Assistant of Seribu Island Regency, Eko Suroyo mentioned the ticket issuance has not been regulated in the Bylaw.

"Seribu Islands is a residence or public realm, so there should be no ticket, except for recreational sites," he expressed.

According to him, tickets are officially issued and managed by the Local Institution of Urban Village Community (LMK). As what happened in Untung Jawa Island a couple times ago.

"This is illegal, even though it is on behalf of the institution," he asserted.
