The Government Assistant of Seribu Island Regency, Eko Suroyo reminded residents have to be careful with fake money circulation ahead Ied-ul Fitr. It is concerning many Jakartans choose Seribu Island as favourite recreation site.

“ It could be circulated during the holiday ,” he said, Wednesday (7/8).

So far, according to him, in Seribu Island have found zero case. Though he remains to urge residents to be more aware.

“Transaction process increases during Ied-ul Fitr, at which point the actor is about start to act,” he uttered.

Likewise, he acknowledged commonly only money which worth more than Rp 20 thousand will be falsified. Nevertheless, residents still detect its falsity through 3D (dilihat, diraba, diterawang).

Dilihat means to look closely at the note to see if there are any visual differences to an authentic one. Diraba means touching the note to feel the ridges. Diterawang means holding up the note to the light to check that it has a watermark.
