North Jakarta will Sell Low-Price Meat in 7 Locations

Upcoming Monday (7/13) until Wednesday (7/15), North Jakarta Administration will hold low-price meat market in 7 locations in order to facilitate citizens in getting meat ahead of Idul Fitri 1436 Hijriah.

We will hold the low-price market three times

As many as 8 ton of subsidized beef and 2,542 of chicken meat will be provided in the market. In detail, as many as 1,500 kg of beef and 100 chickens will be provided in Cilincing Sub-District targeting residents in Marunda flats. Then, as many as 1,500 kg of beef and 100 chickens will be supplied in Semper Barat Urban Village. Moreover, 1,000 kg of beef and 100 chickens will be available in Semper Timur Urban Village, while Kali Baru Urban Village will provide 500 kg of beef and 100 of chicken pieces.

Furthermore, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-District will sell 1,000 kg of beef and 152 chickens, Penjaringan Sub District will also sell 1,500 kg of beef and 200 chickens in Muara Baru flats. Meanwhile in Tanjung Priok Sub-District, 2,000 kg of beef and 1,700 chickens will be provided in North Jakarta Mayor office.

Citizens Flocking to Low-Price Meat Bazaar

North Jakarta, Marine, Livestock and Food Security Sub Department Head, Una Rusmana said, this operation was held to facilitate citizen when skyrocketing price of meat in the market.

"We will hold the low-cost market three times. First day in Muara Baru and Marunda Flats, second day in Pegangsaan Dua, and last day in Mayor Office, Semper Timur Urban Village office, Semper Barat, and Kali Baru," he said.

Rusmana said, one kilogram of beef has been subsidized by the government of Rp 50 thousand per kilogram and will be sold for Rp 39 thousand/kg, while each chicken has been subsidized of Rp 25 thousand  so become Rp 13 thousand per chicken.

North Jakarta, Rustam Effendi ensured, all meat which is sold is the good quality meat.

"We hope this operation could help residents in North Jakarta to get meat ahead of Idul Fitri ," he told.
