Pramono Says Sarinah's Pedestrian Bridge is Needed for People with Disabilities

Jakarta Governor, Pramonl Anung said pedestrian bridge at Sarinah, Thamrin, Central Jakarta will be rebuilt soon.

According to him, the decision to reinstate the Sarinah pedestrian bridge is based on thorough research. The primary reason is to provide a sense of safety and comfort for pedestrians with special needs.

"Sarinah pedestrian bridge is being researched. It is needed for people with disabilities," he said, Friday (1/9).

Pramono also emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government will not remove existing facilities, including the pelican crossing. He assured that the pelican crossing will remain open.

"Indeed, I have also read the pros and cons of people who are pedestrian groups who want to pass by and continue to walk below. The walk below is still open, then the top is an alternative option," he explained.
