According to Rano, the plan to host the Lunar New Year events was inspired by the success of the recent Jakarta Light Festival.

Beyond enlivening the city, Rano said the event will promote interfaith harmony and social unity.

"The point is we're preparing something big, but I can't say too much yet because it would spoil the surprise," he added.

During his visit to Glodok, Rano was accompanied by Jakarta DPRD Deputy Head Rany Mauliani, West Jakarta Mayor Iin Mutmainah, and several OPD officials. The group toured Lunar New Year-themed bazaars along Jalan Pancoran, Glodok.

They later visited Dharma Bakti Temple in Petak Sembilan, before concluding the tour at the Candra Naya Building.
