30 Urban Village & Sub-District Heads Undergo Public Information Training

As many as 30 sub-district and urban village heads in the city are participating in the Education and Training of Sub-District and Urban Village Government, as well as Estate Management Generation 1, in Islamic Center of PKP Building, Kelapadua Wetan, Ciracas, East Jakarta. The training which is held on this June 8-14, is a follow up program inaugurated by Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama at City Hall on July 7 ago.

Aunu Rahmat, a Widyaiswara (teacher) of PKP Foundation stated the training includes leader, functional engineering, and pre-position training. As planned, it would be held in 4 generations, especially for generation 2, 3, and 4, slated to be held after Eid ul-Fitr with different participants. 

"There are many materials given with different speakers, ranging from the order and program explanation, evaluation form filling explanation, certification and apparatur competence. Then urban village and sub-district heads' role is as estate manager, orderly self-concept, public communication, etc," he expressed, Tuesday (7/14). 

50 UKMs Participating in Ramadhan Bazaar

Head of Jakarta Communications, Information and Public Relation Department, Ii Karunia, who is one of the speakers hoped the urban village, sub-district, and section heads could be more active in communicating with public, particularly in solving problems in each area. 

"With smart city, all urban village and sub-district heads should be more active reporting their performance, like solve citizens' complaints through the program and have to be brave communicating with public related to their performance. It can be published at Jakarta Provincial Government's official site 'www.beritajakarta.com' thus people can know about regional head's performance," expressed Ii Karunia. 

After participating in the training, he hopes, all participants can get inspiration and be more active in responding citizens' complaints. As of 25 thousands complaints, there are only 10-15 percent got responded by officials regarding via smart city. Its trigger is from many factors, including the lack of awareness. 

"We appeal them to be more active and respond citizens' complaints, through mass media and Qlue application. They also have to be brave conveying their achievement and potential to be published to the community," he added. 

Meanwhile, Head of Setu Urban Village, Cipayung Usdiyati positively welcomed the training. It can raise insight, partners and knowlegde. Unknown things become known things and can be applied in responding citizens' complaints through smart city. 

"In our area, each complaint has been responded well through smart city program. For example about damaged road, disfunctional street lightning, flood, etc. We coordinate directly with related units," she disclosed.
