Head of Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Public Relation Department, Ii Karunia expressed that Jakarta Smart City application is still being upgraded. If there is no obstacle, it will officially be launched in Apple Store next week.

Karunia admitted the upgrading is slightly delayed. This is because, the 2015 City Budget (APBD) cannot be used yet. Nevertheless, his department will remain launch it. “We will keep upgrading the application because we have yet to attract more people due to city budget has not been disbursed,” he uttered.
Such upgrading has spent Rp 31 billion from initial proposed budget by Rp 34 billion.
To attract more people, the socialization with various technology exhibitions is held. One of them is Social Media Week which has been ongoing some time ago. It is introducing the Smart City service to visitors.
