Head of Palmerah District, Febriandi Suharto said the Wednesday Fire Prevention program is filled with fire prevention socialization activities and fire fighting vehicle route tests in residential areas.

"This activity, which is routinely held every Wednesday , involves various elements, starting from urban village and sub-district civil servant, army, fire handling and rescue, police, Transportation agency, Satpol PP, environmental administrators, and other elements," he said, Wednesday (1/28).

He explained that in this educational activity, the party conveyed to residents the importance of keeping routes sterile and free from obstacles, such as vehicles or other objects so that the evacuation and fire handling process can run quickly and smoothly.

He hopes that this activity will increase public awareness of the importance of their role in helping to handle fires quickly and appropriately.

"We will carry out this activity in all urban villages," he admitted.

Meanwhile, Head of West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, Suheri stated this activity focused on fire prevention socialization and fire truck cross-track testing.

According to him, the activity was motivated by the frequent difficulties officers had when trying to enter residential areas because road access was narrow or blocked by vehicles and goods.

"The route explored today included Jalan KS Tubun, Jalan Inspection Banjir Kanal Barat, Jalan Tomang Asli, Jalan Kamboja, and back to the Palmerah Sector 7 Fire Department Post," he stated.
