Segment I runs from the Manggarai Floodgate to MT Haryono, where embankments spanning 14.99 kilometers are planned. To date, 8.24 kilometers have been completed.
Segment II stretches from MT Haryono to TB Simatupang, with a planned embankment length of 18.7 kilometers. So far, 8.9 kilometers have been realized.
"In total, along the Ciliwung corridor, 33.69 kilometers are planned, with 17.14 kilometers of embankments already completed," he added.
Pramono explained that land acquisition for the Ciliwung normalization is being handled by the Jakarta Provincial Government, while embankment construction is carried out by the Ministry of Public Works.
According to him, the normalization and land acquisition processes along the Ciliwung River have so far proceeded smoothly, without unrest among affected residents. In addition to providing compensation, the provincial government has also offered residents the option to relocate to government-owned public rental housing.
"If residents wish to move into public housing units owned or built by the Jakarta Provincial Government, they are welcome to do so, as long as they meet the requirements. Of course, the units would be rented," Pramono noted.
Head of the Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency Ika Agustin Ningrum added that four out of 14 designated urban villages have been prioritized for the Ciliwung River normalization project: Cawang, Cililitan, Pangadegan, and Rawajati.
By the end of 2026, the project aims to complete 557 meters of normalization. In 2025, the Jakarta Provincial Government paid Rp16.3 billion for 20 land plots in Cawang.
"By the end of 2026, we are working to complete 557 meters," Ika emphasized.
She noted that documentation for land acquisition covering the 557-meter stretch is also targeted for completion by the end of 2026, noting that the process is being carried out using a human-centered approach.
