Baru 124 Homestay Di Pulau Seribu Yang Terdaftar Sejak 2014

Only 124 Homestays in Seribu Islands Certified

Of the 500 homestays in Seribu Islands, there are only 124 homestays recorded being certified. It is hoped all the owners will process the license to the One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) immediately. 

As many as 124 certified homestays are spread in Pramuka, Tidung, Harapan and Untung Jawa Islands. The number is recorded since 2014 ago

"As many as 124 certified homestays are spread in Pramuka, Tidung, Harapan and Untung Jawa Islands. The number is recorded since 2014 ago," said Head of Seribu Islands Regional Tax Service (UPPD), Dasuki, Monday (7/27). 

According to him, especially in Pari Island, there is none of homestay certified. Whereas, in the islands, most citizens' houses were converted into homestays during holiday. 

Homestays in Seribu Islands Obligated to Be Certified

He said, tourism is the biggest sector of regional revenue (PAD) contributor for Seribu Islands Administration. However, the citizens' awareness to legalize their business is still low. 

"To process the license is indeed quite hard, particularly the requirements. But the Regency Administration has repeatedly asserted will help the process," he explained. 

Due to most of tour business in Seribu Islands are illegal, make the UPPD has a trouble to collect the tax from tourism sector.
