City will Keep Jembatan Serong Park
Reported by Jhon Syah Putra Kaban | Translated by Arief Rahman
Discourse about Jembatan Serong Park on Jalan Rawasari Barat, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta to be transformed into public road unlikely to come true. This is because Central Jakarta Park and Cemetery planned to keep the location as city park.
We understand the road is also urgently needed but not to reduce the existing green open space (RTH)
Central Jakarta Park and Cemetery Head, Themy Kendra Putra said, the park will only be turned concept into a passive park. The parks still exist but citizens can't use it as interaction place.
"We understand the road is also urgently needed but not to reduce the existing green open space (RTH)," told Putra, Tuesday (7/28).
Djarot: RTH in West Jakarta Should Be AddedAccording to him, Jakarta Provincial Government continues its efforts to add green open space to 30 percent of total area. So that all park location will continue to be maintained before adding area which is still constrained by cost issues.
"We had prepared repair budget and will repair the park including park around riverbank and under railway in near time," added Putra.
As known, Jembatan Serong Park becomes narrower as affected by sheet pile construction along Utan Kayu River, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
