Jakarta Provincial Government will continue to collect from taxpayers in order to increase regional income of vehicle tax sector.

"People who do not pay taxes in Jakarta will have difficulty. There is a barcode at the gas station to read that the vehicle has not paid taxes," he said, Wednesday (4/30).

Moreover, Jakarta Provincial Government will also apply integration system to detect vehicle tax arrears through public facilities such as parking.

Pramono added that his side tries to conduct improvement for the sake of taxpayer obedience. According to him, many people do not pay taxes for their second or more vehicles.

This tax collection also aims to reduce the number of vehicles that avoid the odd-even regulation. Jakarta Provincial Government's tax amnesty actually increases the traffic congestion.

"This is the improvement that we need to make of," he added.

Pramono also plans to integrate the toll payment system with vehicle tax data. Vehicle tax data can be read immediately when the drivers tap at the toll gate.
